Minimum qualification required for diamond/Gemmology course is SSC or equivalent.
English language is the medium of instruction for all the courses at GII. All the theory, Viva and practical examinations are conducted in English language only.
Indian Students can collect the printed application form from the institute’s office and fill it and submit it along with the required fees 2 weeks before the start of the course. Enrollment is on first-come-first served basis. For foreign students they have to submit a copy of their passport and valid visa before enrolling for a particular course.
GII does not have any hostel facility for the students, but we can provide the students with a list of the hostel facility PG accommodation which was compiled with the help of past students who had already stayed in Mumbai.
No course fee will be refunded once the course starts, but the same admission can be transferred to a future batch commencing within one year. If admission is canceled before the course starts then only the registration fees are deducted from the total fees and the balance fees are refunded.

Yes, GII has an updated and exhaustive library with books, periodicals, and Journals in the field of gemstones & Diamonds.
No, GII does not have any branches outside Mumbai, but it is possible to take short-term courses outside Mumbai for a 10-15 group of students.
