About Shri Anoopbhai Mehta: He needs no introduction. Shri Anoopbhai Mehta, President, BDB and Chairman, GII is a highly respected diamantaire, has contributed tremendously to the development of the diamond industry for more than 40 years. Born into a family of diamantaires, he joined the family business when he was still in his teens. Today, Anoopbhai is a partner at Mohanlal Raichard & Sons, chairman and managing director of Mohit Group. Under Mehta’s leadership, BDB is working towards promoting India as a leading diamond trading hub and his contributions to G & J trade are well recorded. GII is lucky that he accepted to be chairman of GII at critical juncture. Welcome Anoopbhai.
He is sought after personality and member of many bodies: an executive committee member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and has been associated with the Gem & Jewlery Export Promotion Council for several years. He also serves on the committee of the Diamond Exporters Association Ltd (DEAL).
